This is a night of ghosts, goblins, grimlins, and things that go bump in the night.
This is a week of keeping children's tender hearts safe while they trick, or treat at downtown business sponsored events, and the brisk streets with crunchy orange, tan, and brown autumn leaves.
Thirty years ago kids could trick or treat on Halloween by themselves without parents watchful eyes bringing home pillow cases full of sweet goodies like tootsie rolls, and sweet tarts. Even then it was the dawn of twisted malicious minds putting razor blades, and pins in candy for innocents to consume.
Now with the watchful eyes of police, and parents, kids can still have fun playing dress up as angels, fairies, warlocks, and superheroes one spooky week each year.
