2017 Movie Hidden Figures : John Glenn
by Patricia Britt
The movie Hidden Figures was number one at the box office last week.
John Glenn's legacy has carried over into 2017, and will surely be limitless, through his historical tie to Katherine G. Johnson mathematician beginning her illustrious career with the title Computer at NASA. Her calculations were instrumental in Astronaut John Glenn's historic journey into space, and safe return to Earth to reach the age of 94. July 18, 1921 – December 8, 2016.
From the moment John met Katherine human to human, spirit to spirit, equal to equal in heart, and intelligence by his acknowledgement of the 30 black female "Computers" at NASA when he arrived to meet the NASA team there was a bond. He trusted her knowledge completely.
Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae, Taraji P. Henson (Descendent of the great explorer Matthew P. Henson (http://www.greatblackheroes.com/science/matthew-henson/ ) played their characters with outstanding dignity, aptitude, and persistence worthy of Academy Awards as their portrayals brought tears to my eyes. Perhaps Taraji P. Henson will follow in Meryl Streep's footsteps with the diversity of her work.
Kevin Costner's no non-sense every day guy formula portrayal that compels you to see whatever he's in to see what this good guy will do in each new set of circumstances was played to the heart as usual. Kevin Costner follows in the Paul Newman tradition of simplicity.
You can search John Glenn, Katherine G. Johnson, and the other historic pioneers of space at NASA.gov after you note the other names, and triumphs from the film.
https://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/k-4/stories/nasa-knows/who-is-john-glenn-k4.html
https://nasasearch.nasa.gov/search?query=katherine+johnson&affiliate=nasa&utf8=%E2%9C%93
The film has all the able elements of greatness right through to the soundtrack available worldwide.
The bottom line is kindness combined with intelligence is unstoppable.
People, astronauts work together on the space station millions of miles above earth among the stars in space on an international space station level. Lets hope we can work things out on Earth with an act of kindness each day.
Stay tuned for a poem called "The Stars on Mars."

2017 Rap Needs Illusion To Relate
2017 Rap Needs Illusion To Relate
By Patricia Britt
The key to rap is to relate to a particular track, whether it be the beat, or the lyrics in the quest to understand today's youth that have been emotionally battered, and need understanding. Many rappers only have one song a non-rap enthusiast can endure as with heavy metal. One track at a time you can check the pulse of American youth if you have the patience to listen. One track at a time with the metaphysical elements of the Lord in a gospel track, or a dream track would probably make the rap artists product more profitable, and appealing.
American youth need to try to meet their elders half way and include a gospel rap song on each project with their concept of God, a philosophical track on each track with their concept of the path to achievement, and contentment, that equals two tracks without curses i.e. composed for an over 30 audience who's hip, or not so hip if this centuries rappers care for their brothers well being in similar circumstances, and image to be held in esteem vs suspicion with all the other forces that sometimes work against, particularly black youth.
The ultimate honor one could give their lineage, and to the lions of the Civil Rights Symphony to enjoy this decade since their DNA, and the DNA of ancient shores from the seven continents are the higher soul ground within that circulates, and compels articulation without.
With $2.00 and a dream you can help build President Barack Obama’s Presidential library when it’s announced just as you had, and have the opportunity to build the African American Museum of Culture & History in the Smithsonian library complex.
One Mic by Nas is a hypnotic thought provoking song, however his catalog is laced with stay out of the boardroom if you're not from the same branch of experience. If one mic matters in the realm of love that carries on in word vibrations the total audience matters.
If you google "Sean Combs Motivation" you'll get a myriad of interviews, in addition to the many artists that are his legacy. With music, television, and acting Sean Combs has laid the groundwork to emulate beyond his wild videos also. Russell Simmons teaches meditation, yoga, and has 6 books ( https://www.google.com/webhp…).
The knowledge is out there on every level to attain even if this is preaching to the choir.
When I met Julian Bond it seemed he never met a stranger after the NAACP Spingarn ceremony for Representative John Conyer's a decade ago. After the event I collected the speech he read from. The first word was "NOW." If you do a google search of now in the bible there is much wisdom to be attained through www.biblegateway.com study.
The black man has proved his brilliance, his heroism, his ability to make money, his love of country, his love of family, his love of sports, even his love of self in the roadblocks that sometimes conger a maze that ascends, drops, and clears when philosophy of the heart breaths a fresh sensation each morning he walks through the door to reality with the illusion of the stars electricity within as a catalyst to continue the trip to financial stability, and consistent love in his individual path to freedom with his woman on the climb. The majority of rappers still have to prove other rappers at every level on every avenue matter to them.
It's mentorship month for those with a road map to teach those without GPS.

2017 Obama Legacy: North Star Blue Print
2017 Obama Legacy : North Star Blue Print : President Barack Obama
By Patricia Britt
President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii land of the Demi-God Maui as folk lore tells.
You can see the president’s long form birth certificate online, perhaps they’ll put a replica in a glass case on display at vital records in Hawaii for a tourist attraction.
President Obama’s documented achievements rooted in the intimate knowledge of the Constitution, other relevant American documents i.e. the Federalist Papers, world history, Chitown logic, Christianity and the awesome mysticism of Hawaii & the Far East accented by the foundation of love he acknowledged, and held onto for love's sake resulted in the culmination of a fair man who retains knowledge, because it’s based in truth, and the internalization of justice.
All of these elements allow him to apply theory, perception, vision, and projections from home to galaxies unknown with concrete style.
President Obama has established a duplicatable code to be copastetic, and accelerate the path to achievement for anyone woven through the Internet, which is that much more valuable for the statistic in search of elevation.
His goal was to leave a blue print for purpose, unity, and progress.
Search for the meaning of the “NORTH STAR” in the sky you view that is part of our solar system in the Milky Way Galaxy on a clear night, within your heart where the ultimate code is programmed, or absorb it from the history of the world from the moment our time began on earth.
The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.
Senator Barack Obama launched his campaign for the Presidency in Springfield, Illinois. He took his first vacation as President to the Virgin Islands. His last State Dinner was with Italy. His most recent vacation was in Hawaii. His farewell speech was in Chicago. He’s got thousands more miles to log so look alive, and you just might get a selfie in a year, or so! Think quick! Study the www.whitehouse.gov web site. Stay woke & vote for the man with a plan in your city. Contact your party’s state office via email, and ask about the next November slate of candidates & www.rockthevote.org.
The Internet will hold the questions, and answers Barack Obama posed, and carried out for anyone with an interest in following the North Star of tomorrow anywhere, anytime, anyplace.
President Obama left technological, and hard copy road maps here, there, and everywhere.
People internalize at least three schools of thought 1. “If I’m on the treadmill next to you, it’s a race, a competition.” by Anonymous 2. Non competitive : The satisfaction of life is people interaction. 3. Your life only has meaning as it relates to my achievement. 4. A mixture of the above.
With eyes on the prize at all times Senator Barack Obama attained the presidency of the United States of America, held it for two terms, and made a positive difference in many lives, in many ways. Jobs have been gained the last 75 consecutive months (Brookings Insitute), graduation rates are up. President Obama will continue his legacy through the Brothers Keeper initiative, his presidential library in Chicago, and who knows what else with common sense, and empathy for all from coast to coast in the calm, and through the storms.
Change, Hope, Cheers to the Obama’s to infinity, and God bless them always as they've blessed all of us.
