Thanksgiving Facebook Social Media Mystery's

by Pat Britt

This is a Hillary Clinton social media rant with spiritual elements. In preparation of Thanksgiving I decided to check out Facebook. The moment I entered the social media site it popped to another screen "Kanye West KIm Kardashian" without my putting them in the search bar at the top of the screen? As the twilight zone movie theme would go dododo dododo duh duh duh duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh? So any way I was on this facebook page mysteriously, a moment ago, like a day or so after the election there was the facebook hoax of people reading they were now in the ever life or here after. I checked my facebook page late that day, after the site was restored to normal facebook home pages, so I'll never know if my page was altered? Anyway when I decided to press, or select the arrow of the latest Kanye rant to play the video .... it said, or rather yahoo news said .... he was under spiritual attack? The original reason I checked out facebook tonight besides seeing friends and family posts was to post some news about Hillary Clinton since my heart still can't phathom how a woman who's fought her entire life to help people, with the exception of being a lawyer, and representing a rapist once, then starting a rape hotline in Arkansas to atone for her professional, and degree of moral sin lost to a guy who said the meanest things I've ever heard a presidential candidate say that would lead you to believe he couldn't possibly represent all of us since he doesn't respect all of us? Spiritual warfare is real. It's no longer hidden that greed is good.

Hillary Clinton is the product of spiritual warfare. She was humiliated by her husband yet loved him to infinity due to her child and the verbal tennis that must still entertain her in addition to their international achievements? If she lost the presidential election in republican strongholds, because she loved her husband, now adult child, and wasn't going to play answering questions about why they're still together this go round with the media, and the voters then so be it. It was a close challenge.

The article below is about Hillary Clinton's 2 million popular vote lead. In a moment I will post another Yahoo article about Hillary Clinton, and the question of electoral votes. Today CNN had Congressional Black Caucus member Hakeem Jeffries on, a rising star in the Democratic machine that needed a bit more oil this time around. The topic of the electoral college came up. The Congressman said essentially the democrats will at some point offer a bill for a constitutional amendment to stop using the outdated system of allowing the electoral college to determine the winner over the popular vote of "one man one vote." The republicans have won the highest office in America, the House, the Senate, and more than likely the Supreme Court. To change the electoral system would take an act of God, because statistically there are not enough votes in Congress this election cycle, however there's always mid term elections.

With snap, crackle, pop rally's to celebrate the election of a guy who said things like Ben Carson was just an ok surgeon when he's world renowned, and all Latinos like the Pope had ethical problems we're in for a bumpy ride the next 4 years.

Let me tie my point together here, facebook screen jumping, spiritual warfare, mean, add kind to that, and you have Hillary Clinton. I don't know her personally, however her watery eyes, and documented legal track record representing people with no resources led me to the conclusion she's a kind, sincere person who bet against the the house, the 1% who is the most wealthy in America with a priviledged 2 year media blitz. Kindness is an uncommon quality in this day, and age when people use the word hater like it's a noun. Rare qualities can sometimes be perceived as strange. If she'd lied about her opponent, or rolled her eyes with venom, instead of dismissal she might be president in January? Hillary Clinton is, was, and will always be a nice, smart lady I guess. A nice smart lady who's experienced every projection imaginable, and is still ready to play politics.

Was Hillary selfish to take the lead in this election cycle? What was there to lose in the game of American politics with republicans, and democrats there's usually a back and forth shift every 8 years, except I don't recall social media screens switching to Kanye West Kim Kardashian's page in Democratic years, the kind, nice, classy years. As with Oprah the end of an era is coming, although there'll be a new phase, President Obama 3.0 after he has a deserved rest. President Obama the Harvard graduate who flew America out of the recession tail spin like Captain Sully never said I'm the greatest, even though he is ... he just pardoned the White House Turkeys Tater & Tot on Wednesday, to send the message to his supporters across party lines. It's time for your Toys for Tots donation if you haven't already done so, and there's kids out there with just taters, and if I've taught you anything through my example, it's to keep the spirit of taters in your heart, and your bank book ... This is my kind hearted rant, would you vote for me ....Hey Hillary 2020 is on the way .... would you hire me ... I used to be a seamstress .... To be continued ....

2016 MARIAN ANDERSON AWARD TO BE PRESENTED TO PATTI LABELLE AND GAMBLE & HUFF

Gala Concert on November 15, 2016 To Feature Music Legends
PHILADELPHIA, PA. (JUNE 14, 2016) – Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney announced today that Patti LaBelle and Gamble & Huff will receive the 2016 Marian Anderson Award at the annually anticipated Gala on November 15, 2016, at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. This is the first year since 2008 that the Award has been presented to multiple recipients. Honoring these individuals also represents a first-time focus on Philadelphia’s contributions to the popular music world and a truly unique tribute to the Award’s namesake, Marian Anderson, an esteemed singer and beloved Philadelphian. The Marian Anderson Award was created to celebrate critically acclaimed artists who have used their talents for personal artistic expression and whose bodies of work have contributed to our society in a singular manner.
As a singer, actress, author, chef, and humanitarian, Ms. LaBelle is truly a renaissance woman. Ms. LaBelle’s music career evolved from singing in her local choir to now being commonly recognized as “The Godmother of Soul.” In the early 1960’s, she fronted a band called, “Patti LaBelle and the BlueBelles,” later named, “LaBelle,” which became the first African American singing group to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Ms. LaBelle went on to launch a solo career in which she continues to dazzle audiences with a voice that has been honored with three Grammy Awards and countless other accolades.
When it comes to the music industry, Gamble & Huff, the record production team led by Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff, have done it all. In 1971, the duo launched their own label, Philadelphia International Records and secured a distribution deal with CBS. Gamble & Huff went on to write pop and R&B #1 hits, numerous gold and platinum records, as well as Grammy Award winning songs and BMI songwriters’ awards honorees. Their musical success secured them induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Dance Music Hall of Fame, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and won them the Trustees Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Ahmet Ertegun Award, and the Ivor Novello Award.
“The Marian Anderson Award celebrates not only esteemed artists, but dedicated humanitarians,” said Mayor Kenney. “This year is particularly special as we honor the legacy of three world-renowned members of the musical community who are also Philadelphians. From supporting the needs of children to revitalizing South Philadelphia, Patti LaBelle and Gamble & Huff truly embody the artistic greatness and generous spirit exemplified in Marian Anderson herself.”
Ms. LaBelle’s interests have led her to become involved in many philanthropic efforts. In support of adoption, foster care and children’s issues as a whole, Ms. LaBelle has been an advocate of Big Sisters and the United Negro College Fund. After being diagnosed with diabetes, Ms. LaBelle became a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association.
When learning she would receive the award, Ms. LaBelle said, "I am so humbled to be receiving a Marian Anderson Award alongside my brothers, Mr. Kenny Gamble and Mr. Leon Huff. Marian Anderson was an inspiration to me and I pray that I can live up to the true spirit of this honor!"
Mr. Gamble has been deeply committed to renovation and restoration of South Philadelphia since the creation of a song called “Let’s Clean Up the Ghetto,” that kicked off a campaign. The campaign turned into a calling, and Mr. Gamble led a team, “Universal Companies,” to open a restaurant and purchase over 100 condemned properties. These properties were turned into homes, a project that provided jobs to the community, and were rented to low-income and middle-income families. In addition to revitalizing the area framed by Christian and South Streets and Broad and 18th Streets, Mr. Gamble has been an ardent supporter of and contributor to the T.J. Martell Leukemia Foundation and the AMC Cancer Research Center and Hospital, which honored him with the Humanitarian Award in 1980.
Gamble & Huff remarked, "We are extremely honored and excited to be recipients of this year’s Marian Anderson Award. To receive an award from this prestigious organization, that is based in our hometown of Philadelphia, really warms our hearts with this recognition of our musical contributions over the past 50 years. But more importantly, we are equally proud and further honored to receive this recognition that is named after the great African-American pioneer and music legend, Ms. Marian Anderson. And thus we are forever appreciative to be in company of other honorees and legends that have received this iconic and historic award in the past in our great City of Philadelphia"
In addition to honoring multiple recipients, this year’s Award marks another exciting change. The Marian Anderson Award will be partnering with the Kimmel Center, the world-class performing arts campus at the heart of Philadelphia, to bring together some of the finest artists before the public today on the Verizon Hall stage. The Kimmel Center began to take shape in 1996 as a combined product of Mayor Edward Rendell’s desire to provide a space for performing arts in Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Orchestra’s initiative to develop a permanent home. Since opening in 2001, the Center’s many venues have played host to the foremost performers of our time.
Nina C. Tinari, Chairwoman of The Marian Anderson Award, thanked the Award’s lead sponsors Wells Fargo, PECO, and COMCAST for their unwavering support, and spoke of the Board’s decision to honor Ms. LaBelle and Gamble & Huff. “Each year, I am so grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, as well as that of our amazing community and city, Philadelphia. The Gala this fall will truly be an evening to remember. This year marks the 45th anniversary of Gamble & Huff’s record label, Philadelphia International Records, the label to which Patti LaBelle was signed. We are delighted to celebrate the musical genius and philanthropic efforts of this year’s honorees.”

PBS : Gwen Ifill Blues

by Patricia Britt

A pleasant soul passed away into the hereafter yesterday, after a quiet struggle with cancer. Blues were one of her favorite fashion choices in her vivid style. A noteworthy lady in an age of intensity. A minister's daughter she practiced what she preached.

The "journalist" with laser determination effortlessly enchanted millions worldwide as she volleyed, and brought out the best, and the truth in movers, and shakers. She moderated presidential debates, and interviews American, and world leaders. She was always prepared, and studied her subject matter thoroughly.

She always brought her A-Game, and will always be remembered for that. She and Ed Bradley who died 10 years ago both went to glory one week apart in November.

2016 Election Day in America

2016 Election Day in America by Patricia Britt

America is the greatest country on earth from shore to shore, and sea to sea, because it has the greatest soul, and evolves in love sweet love.

It's election day. We'll miss that smart, classy guy, President Obama, fashionable Michelle, the adorable kids, and his troop of suave administrators.

We as Americans were bewildered this election with so much mud in the atmosphere? The excitement and promise of volunteers for a sincere guy that was electric is replaced by a wish to get a woman in who's fought for justice all her life with sincere goals.

Democrats strive for all people to be uplifted. Republicans strive for a select few. We as Americans have too much work to do not to pass road projects, and other mandates that will lift a majority into the middle class, and not push us back into doubt ourselves as individuals, and those we work with.

Obamacare healthcare is a testament to love for the American people by a patriot, his wife a healthcare administrator, and all the shoulders they stood on that includes Hillary Clinton, and all the other congressman past, and present with the wisdom to negotiate, and broker a deal for the betterment of the American people. There are millions of mothers who's children, and budgets are protected through the foundation of healthcare for a modern world that will no doubt eventually spread worldwide.

Tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of our American goals for the next four years. God bless America! Lets work together, and dream big dreams!

I can't wait to see Obama's high tech presidential library!
