We as Americans have had too many traumas in this century.
Many who never thought their life would equate to that of a tragic statistic due to economic status who have to relive sorrow second by second, or those who are consumed by the spirit of carelessness who have victimized others, and themselves with, or without resources to reach gun manufacturers, some of whom are issued a license to carry, and some Americans have experienced the storms of the elements of nature.
I've considered all the recent heart hurts our country has had to bear. Violence is predominantly based on past hurts, or history. No one can change the past, however, if love is the predominant source of ones view of history, regardless of pain experienced in a lifetime the soul still rises above it all, if the heart has the strength left to overcome emotion time, after time, over, and over that cause one to compartmentalize the pain as a computer rewrites new files over old ones. Some who've experienced personal tragedy get their heart's torn to pieces every day upon sight of others sorrows.
Noted psychiatrist Maslow was superior to Freud in the knowledge that love equates to human touch with the sincere intent of respect, empathy, and compassion is more powerful than the obsessive compulsive ego distortions to dominate and manipulate what the eye sees whether detrimental, or complimentary to the soul of the object of physical interest that much of our current movies are based, because the majority of what's produced is driven by ego spirit envy void of the heart's purpose. In this day, and age you're almost afraid to turn on the television due to the preponderance of of warped humanity portrayed, including movie trailers, that is also in novels, and on the Internet where you can also find images of love if you look for them. Modern psychiatry might point out that commercials are more uplifting, and educational than many programs.
Therefore in Maslow's world true love is the answer, as it has always been, and is what each of us needs worldwide to avoid Diamond's experience, whether it be real love, or God's love. Diamond had much real love she voiced. Diamond feels loss, yet is still surrounded by love's innocence.
Diamond, and her daughter will live in suspended animation for many decades in the highs, and lows of memory triggers.
The only equation that saves them, and all of us is the spectrum of love. The village has to raise Diamond's child, as the village has to raise the Arab student inventor of the clock, as the village has to raise the children of those police officers that protect us in the midst of crisis, as the village has to keep the spirit of the parents who've lost children steeped in love.
What follows are two versions of distorted events that brought out Diamond's bravery, and the unknown officer that followed procedures and allowed her to continue to record, or followed his spirit of compassion on that sad day. I started to write about it on July 10, 2016. No one can deny love in action in the trauma Diamond Reynolds went through that occurred in St. Paul Minnesota this month as one example of human concern in a terrible time. I was unable to pull together then that is still hard to translate the humanity involved .

Trauma : Inherent Good

The reality of America, and the world is there are good, and evil people that occupy the same space.
The unkown po that transferred Diamond's phone to her lap in the back seat, once she was moved away from her beloved boyfriend pc in the first car, and let her continue documentation in St. Paul Minnesota vs the police officer crushing the phone. Perhaps he acted out of concern for her, and her 4 year old baby girl, her life, and her reputation from an internal sense of integrity in his sacred duty to protect, and serve within the constraints of the thin blue line.

Version 2 : Trauma

The president has raised a generation of children from 10 years old to 20 years old, from 20 somethings to 30 somethings of every ethnicity who see the president as their Father, brother, cousin, friend, and so on who have taught them about equality, and a spirit of triumph.
His trust is in the nation's police, and the majority of the people that elected him and also those of conscience who did not that still believe in the common good of each other, and the nation as a whole to rise above sorrow, and stand together united to change preconceived notions of superiority, and inferiority of character.
It was inherent goodness, or inherent wisdom of the police officer who put Diamond's phone on her lap when she was transferred from the care with her beloved boyfriend pc in St. Paul Minnesota to the second car. That police officer apparently cared about Diamond and her 4 year old child to allow her to document the tragedy as it happened in the middle of a horrific emotional mindset. Diamond and that unknown police officer in Falcon Heights are heroes. God bless them, and give them peace.
